The Pennsylvania Falconry and Hawk Trust (PFHT) is a group of dedicated individuals that have bonded together due to their love of raptors and the sport of falconry. Falconry is a hunting sport that is defined as "The hunting of wild quarry with trained raptors." However the PFHT and falconers everywhere are much more than sportsmen. They are conservationists, especially when it comes to the well-being of raptors. This can best be stated with excerpts from our Constitution and Bylaws.
"In order to improve, aid, encourage competency in the art and practice of falconry among interested persons..."
"..to promote conservation of the birds of prey, their care, welfare, and training; to urge recognition of falconry as a legal field sport; and to establish traditions which will aid, perpetuate, and further the welfare of falconry and the raptors it employs."
